The church service to celebrate the beginning of Founders’ Weekend will take place in All Hallows’ from 1.45 pm on Friday, 21st November. The service will, once again, be led by our Society Chaplain, Rev. Graeme Carby and usually lasts about an hour followed by tea and biscuits in the church rooms. Once again all are welcome to join us and enjoy this wonderful afternoon of music, prayers and anecdotes amongst old friends and present students and staff from School.
Rev Graeme Carby (ASOC Chaplain)
Graeme attended King James’s Grammar School from 1962-70. He
graduated from Manchester University and initially took up a teaching career. In 1990 he retrained, taking a Post Graduate Diploma in Theology in St John’s College, Nottingham, after which he was ordained as a Deacon (1992) and Priest (1993) In 1996 he became a Team Vicar in Cyncoed, Cardiff. Graeme retired in 2018 and moved back to Huddersfield. He became Almondburians’ Society Chaplain in 2022. |
